From the documentation, full-cycle allows one to retrieve all published documents for an application.
For instance, the endpoint below presents results for EP1000000: A1 document (from 20000517) and B1 document (from 20030212).
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... full-cycle
From the output, it is possible to note that "abstract" information is available for the application (A1), but it is missing for the specification (B1).
Also, when checking for fulltext availability, the link below informs that both "description" and "claims" are available for A1.
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 1/fulltext
However, those information are also not available for B1, with the endpoint below leading to "SERVER.EntityNotFound".
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 1/fulltext
My question is: how can one retrieve abstract and fulltext information from a patent specification (B1, B3, B8...)?

Re: Abstract and fulltext data for patent specification (B1)
Dear user,
One of our FAQs covers this question. The answer is:
Full-text coverage varies from country to country, but in the case of EP documents, in Espacenet as well as in OPS, you can only get the full text for the first publication step available, which is generally the A1 or A2 publication. You will not be able to get the full text (description or claims) for a B publication (granted patent).
Nevertheless, you can download full EP B documents via the European publication server. The publication server contains EP A as well as B documents. You can use web services to retrieve data from the European publication server (see "Help" file on the publication server).
We plan to make EP B documents available at some point. We will inform our users on this forum as soon as it is implemented.
Kind regards
OPS support

Thank you. This addition will be much appreciated.
Until then, I will take a look at publication server.

Re: Abstract and fulltext data for patent specification (B1)
Hi,
I just came back to this and noticed full-text information is now available to the specification document: http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 1/fulltext
Is it available in all database?
Also, another related question: are there plans to make full-text information available to documents from other patent offices? E.g:
USPTO:
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... .A1/biblio -> returns data
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 1/fulltext -> yields EntityNotFound
WIPO:
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... .A3/biblio -> returns data
http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 3/fulltext -> yields EntityNotFound
Yours,
Felipe Eltermann

Dear Felipe,
We refer you to the other topic that was posted earlier today regarding coverage of full-text data (see FAQ).
Abstracts are available with the bibliographic data but there are currently no plans to add US claims (or others) in the near future. Description and claims are partially available for WO.
Kind regards,
OPS support
