Address Lines

Post by ppyujtm » Thu Oct 01, 2020 6:07 pm

Hi,
For the Register Retrieval Service, is there a maximum number of address lines for an applicant?
For example, a response may produce the following for an applicant:
<reg:address>
<reg:address-1>Address Line 1</reg:address-1>
<reg:address-2>Address Line 2</reg:address-2>
<reg:country>GB</reg:country>
</reg:address>

I am trying to determine the maximum number of <reg:address-X> lines that may be returned or is it theoretically unlimited?
I am working on the basis the limit is 6 (not including the country) because the CMS filing application will only allow a maximum of 6 address lines when adding a user to the address book, namely:
1. Department
2. Address line 1
3. Address line 2
4. Postal code
5. City
6. Province/state/county

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for the reply. I didn't know about that so thanks for the link. So, the limit is 5?

Hi,

The XSD is up to date so you can take values as described, yes.
