Hi,

We just had an upgrade of the Adobe Reader to9.1.1 and now we cannot view the PDF enclosures (meassage: Adobe Acrobat is not installed!) although it is installed. Does anyone know how to solve this issue?

Kind regards,

Paul van den Berg

Hi,

for some reason, either the interface or the link between OLF and the Acrobat Reader changes between Reader versions such that OLF can no longer use it after Acrobat has been changed. The easiest would be to re-install OLF in order to allow it to reset the connection to the interface. Please do not forget to apply any patches again as well. If you're using a thin client to connect to a server installation, well, then only re-installing the thin client should do the trick.

Sometimes this fails as the OLF installation cannot find any of the following registry entries:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document\shell\Open\command
or
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\AcroExch.Document.7\shell\Open\command

In the first found key it gets the .exe path and tries to locate the .exe file. If it fails to find both keys and/or the .exe file it considers Acrobat Reader not installed.
