Mktanaka,

I am running Firefox v83 on M1 Monterey without any problems, so it is possible. Try starting Firefox v83 in safe mode to ensure it is not an extension that is making it crash. I don't expect newer versions of Firefox to work until new cryptovision drivers arrive.

For those that may be interested, the solution identified with the IT support was to install a pre-Apple Silicon version of Firefox and use the latest drivers. i.e. Install cryptovision sc/interface 8.0 drivers on Big Sur. Download and install the old Firefox v83. Disable automatic updates on Firefo...

After testing, it appears that the current drivers DO NOT support Apple's newest Apple Silicon Macs.
