We finally managed to solve our problems with the (invisible) address book  . It seems that the problem was caused by the PCT patch released on 6 November. We did a complete re-install (format C, install WinXP, install OLF V4, import address book file) of the computer, but this time without installing the new PCT patch. Now it runs smooth... 8) . We do not dare to restore our backed up filings :? .

By the way, we earlier had to disable the WinXP firewall on the server to enable communication between the server and the clients.

Hope this is useful to others.

our company has just upgraded to v4, network version, and have the same issue with the "invisible" address book. Is there any more technical information on this or any guidance as to how to fix it?
Thanks

Hi,

this issue can occur when a 3.20 version database is simply copied to a version 4 installation - this should not be done. If a new system is set-up and one wants to safeguard the existing data (address book, user profiles, folder structure, templates and forms) - a new 3.20 version installation is required where the database can be copied to and only then the v4 upgrade can be performed.

Does the above fit your situation?

We are using the UK PO forms via EPOLine Ver 4 . Since upgrading from Ver 3.2 we note slight delays only on the UK Forms updating after entering text . For example entering the first letter fo an 8 letter word is followed by an hourgalss, then enter the next letter , another hourglass etc..
The system works but users have noted (only on the UK Forms) it is slower.

Anyone else expereince this ?

Thanks
