Bibliographic data of German Utility Models (Gebrauchsmuster

Post by vvanek » Sat Jul 23, 2016 8:37 pm

Dear All,

I was able to download the bibliographic data of a range of patents that results from a name search via "get/published-data/search".

When downloading the according bibliographic data for these search results via OPS it occurred that no bibliographic information referring to German Utility Models (Gebrauchsmuster) were delivered from OPS.

As an example

http://ops.epo.org/rest-services/publis ... 6U1/biblio

Especially, no filing or priority date is delivered.

Nevertheless, via espacenet, the full bibliographic information for this specific German Utility Model DE 29906076U1 is available, including the filing date.

https://worldwide.espacenet.com/searchR ... 29906076U1+

How can I retrieve the application date for German Utility models via OPS?

Thanks in advance for any input you could provide.

Very best regards!

VV

Hi,

I think the problem is in a way you formulated your search query.

In Epodoc format it should look like this:
http://ops.epo.org/3.1/rest-services/pu ... 76U/biblio

In Docdb:
http://ops.epo.org/3.1/rest-services/pu ... .U1/biblio

In any case, Docdb format must have dots "." between country code and serial number and even more important between serial number and the kind code ("U1)
