Hi there,
It seems in the new version there have been changes in the numbering system of priority numbers and equivalent patents. The WO priorities have been numbered i.e. WO2005US32406 in the old Espacenet and becomes now US2005032406W, the equivalents have been numbered with the kind code in parenthesis now the kinf code is attached to the patent number. If one has imported relevant patent data in his one database for reasons to search data in his own way, this is rather counter-productive. Is there a valid reason for these changements, which (as usual) come as a surprise.
Thanks

Re: Change of patent numbers - DOCDB number format
Dear Mr Schmitt,
The number format used in new Espacenet is the DOCDB format. The EPO publishes and regularly updates number concordance tables, which display standardardised publication and application numbers that can be used for patent search in new Espacenet and other DOCDB-based products. These formats, that may differ between publication and application numbers, are displayed according to the different available patent authorities and specific periods of time.
Please be informed that the searching the number WO2005US32406 displayed in classic Espacenet will still deliver the respective result in the new interface.
