Dear Guido,

You can access the Federated Register to have an overview of the status of the patent in the different countries. A deep link on the country code will take you directly to the particular national register to allow you to retrieve more information.

Hope this answers your question.
Kind regards

Dear,
I just want to say that there are a few ways to check in which countries a patent is valid:

Consult the patent office: One of the most reliable ways to check the validity of a patent is to consult the patent office that issued the patent. They will have information on the countries in which the patent is valid and the specific terms and conditions of the patent.

Check the European Patent Office (EPO) database: The EPO maintains a database of patents that have been granted by national patent offices in European countries. This database can be searched by patent number, applicant name, or keywords, and it will show in which countries the patent has been granted.

Use online patent databases: There are also several online patent databases that you can use to search for patents and check their validity. Some of the most popular ones include Google Patents, Espacenet, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database.

Check directly with the patent holder: Another way to check the validity of a patent is to contact the patent holder directly and ask them.

It's important to note that patent laws vary between countries and regions, so it's always best to consult the patent office or a legal expert to confirm the validity of a patent in a specific country.

To check on which countries a patent is valid, you can perform a patent search using patent databases such as the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) PatentScope, the European Patent Office (EPO) Espacenet, or the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) Patent Full-Text and Image Database.

Here are the steps you can follow:

Identify the patent number: You will need to have the patent number to perform the search. You can find the patent number on the patent document or by searching for it using the patent office database where the patent was granted.

Search for the patent: Once you have the patent number, go to the patent office database and search for the patent using the number.

View the patent information: After you have located the patent, look for the information on the countries where the patent is valid. This information is typically provided in the patent document, along with the patent claims, description, and drawings.

Use the patent family search: Another way to check on which countries a patent is valid is to use the patent family search, which is available on many patent databases. This search allows you to find all patents related to the original patent, including any international or regional patents that may have been filed.

By performing a patent search and reviewing the patent document, you can identify the countries where a patent is valid and ensure that you are not infringing on the patent owner's rights in those countries.
