Hi,
I don't know if this is the right section for this.
I'm trying to search for a CSSR patent but the search at espacenet doesn't know this country code. The patent I'm searching for is from the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic the patent number is CSSR 93627 (from 1960).
In 1990 the Czechoslovak Socialist Republic got split into two countries (Slovakia and Czech Republic).
In what way did the number or country code change? How can I find this patent now via espacenet search? I already tried all patents with 93627.
Best regards,
Peter

Dear Peter,
You need to use CZ as the country code for the Czech Republic and SK for the Republic of Slovakia. However, according to our coverage tables, our database only contains patent documents published from 1992 onwards. You can find the coverage provided by the EPO's bibliographic database (updated daily) here.
To find information on patents Czech patents published or filed before 1992, we suggest you contact the Industrial Property Office of the Czech Republic, here's a link to their website.

Dear Peter,
In Espacenet under "Help" you will find the list of the country codes :
[url][/https://worldwide.espacenet.com/help?lo ... rycodesurl]
Up to 1993 the country code was "CS" (and after 1993 "CZ").
I do not find a result by searching the number you mentioned. As the European Patent Office relies on the (bulk) deliveries from the various national patent offices regarding the publication of their patent documents we did not get that document to upload in Espacenet.
I would recommend you to contact the CZ Patent Office to obtain more information :
