Did the 03-05-2009 V4 Update contain the changes for 04-01?

Our clerks complain that the Epoline V4 patchlevel (4013, 05-03-2009) does not reflect the amending the rules relating to fees for patent application comprising more than 35 pages and the other changes.

Any update on the horizon?

Cristoph,

There is an announcement on the epoline home webpage that says the update scheduled for yesterday has been delayed. This is the one you need to automaticaly implement the new fee structure.

The 03-05-2009 update is only the new opposition module, the new update will also include this.

You can update the fees manually in the Fee maintenance module, create a new set of fees for use after the 1st April 2009 and enter the new amounts. I noticed that there are quite a few changes when I went through yesterday. The only thing that will then come up wrong is if you have applications with more than 50 claims or more than 35 pages. I am not sure if you can amend the amounts directly in the application or not (I do not have it on this machine to check)

You can also not pay the fees in the epoline module but log onto the epoline web site and pay them there instead, I believe the web site has updated this morning.

If anybody from epoline is watching, do you have any information you can share on what is the cause of the delay and when there might be a resolution?

Regards

Cary

Ah thank you for the hint, I really need to work on the habit to immediately skip to the download page.

"until a later date" , we are doomed :)

Btw best comment regarding said issue: "ah come on, they are just april fooling us"

Christoph,

Just in case you are still not looking at the epoline front page :-)

The April fees update is now available.
