Hi, I search in Espacenet and browse though the results in the bibliographic view pane. Many of the results show abstract and a representative image, but many only show the abstract, even though an image is published on the front page of the actual publication. The same effect is also present in GPI - many of the downloaded search results have no images (the same publications as in Espacenet).

Why do so many results show no image in the bibl. data view?

Is there a way of browsing/downloading the front pages of the results instead of the bibl. view?

Hi,

The reason why some images are not available with the respective abstract is simply due to the fact that the images have not been clipped from the original document's first page.

It's currently not possible to download the first page of a document only. However, to browse through the first pages, select "Original document" from the left-hand tab and click on next (just above the title of the document) to view the first page of the next original document in your results list.
