As every year around this special time of the upcoming Holidays, the EPO’s Asian Patent Information Services team is busy with the preparation of the programme for the annual East meets West forum on Asian patent information.
The 2 days event will offer again mixture of plenary presentations, workshops, one-on-one discussions with experts and plenty of networking opportunities which are typical for East meets West.
In the plenary part, the participants will have a chance to listen to the latest news presented by the delegates from the Offices from Asia and beyond. The topics will range from the new technical features of J-Plat Pat database, Rospatent’s recent developments in AI in the area of searching and patent information, improved access to Malaysian data, news from GCC patent office and much much more.
The participants will be able to choose from 2 streams: first stream on availability of ASEAN patent data and second stream with focus on the Chinese specialised IP courts, where Industry, the IP Office, patent attorney and searcher will share their experiences and views on this topic.
To enrich the value of the event, in the upcoming 2019 event, 2 rounds of workshops will be offered to the participants free of charge. Among the 7 planned workshops, workshop on North Korean patent system and patent information will be offered as special and one time opportunity for the conference participants.
Besides the plenty of networking breaks, the live discussions should continue during the evening event on the dinner cruise on the Danube River!
We do hope we caught your attention and that we will be able to meet you in person in Vienna - the headquarters of world patent information!
