EP10012k only in Demo mode?

Post by Alexander Strobl » Mon May 19, 2008 1:31 pm

I´ve installed the epptch3052_epc2000.exe and now the new forms are listed in Demo Mode.
F.E. if I want to create a new Draft, in Demo Mode, i can then select the procedure "EP(1001E2K)".

But I miss it when i log into Productive Mode.
When in Prod Mode only the old EP1001E and Euro-PCT1200 are listed.

What must i do, to get the new forms in Prod mode as well?

Hi i have the excact same problem on my system, Any news regarding a solution?

This is on a fully updated Windows 2003 R2 Server, with the Aruifont.msi installed

01. eOLF320.exe
02. ibptch3110.exe
03. epptch3052_epc2000.exe
04. epptch3055
05. epptch3060
06. ibptch3023.exe

I've also run Live Update, and it doesn't download/install anything

I did do a fresh EPO install on a new Vmware server and this one had no problems!

Thanks

Kenneth

I've seen this before.

The issue is, is that you will lose your users and groups.

What you could try out is backing up your data / exporting all your forms from both demo and production.
Then 'empty' the databases (the 'empty' button is available in the servermanager/backup tab)
Tick what you want to empty from the databases.
Then stop all services and firebird instances.
Rename the productiondatabase (eolfi.gdb) to something else and then copy the demodatabase to eolfi.gdb
Start the services, import your applications and you should be able to work again.

Cheers,

Loek.

Hi Kenneth,

Sorry for the late reply.
You might try to reinstall the epc2000 patch (and all patches after that), but I'm not sure if that works.

I guess you lose all the users when you delete the production database (and replace it with the demo), I can't think of any way to copy them. :(

Tick what you want to empty from the databases - what should i be looking for here?
All the things you want to copy from you Demo Database to your production database, in my case: Nothing :)

edit:

UNtick what you want to delete from your database, everything that is ticked will be kept.

Hi
no problem, my solution was to reinstall EPO on a virtuelpc ( that i've used for testing anyway) - then take a Database Backup and import this to the production Eposerver - and then add the 100+ users again

Reinstalling did not solve anything

No big problem, only really annoying and time-consuming
