Had the same problem with firefox a while back for a different pdf. I downloaded google chrome and have had no problems with it since. Seems much faster too.

Do you have any Firefox plugins installed that may be overriding the Adobe PDF reader? If you download the PDF to your desktop and open it from there do you have any problems? Lets figure out if it is a Firefox problem or a problem with your system as a whole.
