The full text (text of descriptions and claims) is now searchable via new search criteria (FTXT, DESC and CLAIM) and amended search criteria (WORD now includes words in titles, abstracts, descriptions and claims).

This enhancement will improve the quality of your keyword searches and could also enable new kinds of searches with GPI.

The following screenshot shows the current completeness of searchable full text (currently, EP and WO publications in English, French and German) - this information is accessible by selecting "Completeness status of searchable full text" in the "Help" menu of the GPI user interface:

The GPI database is updated every week with the full text of new publications - additional searchable full-text collections will be included regularly and announced in this forum.

Note: In GPI the full text can be searched and translated, but not downloaded.

GPI user support

Searchable full text of GB publications (i.e. the text of descriptions and claims) is now available in GPI and, to date, its completeness status is as follows (this information is available when selecting "Completeness status of searchable full text" in the "Help" menu of the GPI user interface):


For example, FTXT = * and PUC = GB and PUK = A returns today around 2 355 000 GB A publications that can be searched using keywords in descriptions and claims, i.e., as indicated in the above screenshot, 98% of around 2 415 000 GB A publications available in GPI with bibliographic data.

As for EP and WO publications in English, German or French, searchable full text of recent GB publications is added every week in GPI.


GPI user support

Searchable full text of DE and FR publications is now available in GPI.

To date, the number of publications that can be searched using keywords of descriptions and claims is as follows:

PUC = DE and FTXT = * returns around 3 565 000 DE publications
PUC = FR and FTXT = * returns around 1 962 000 FR publications.

As for EP, GB and WO publications in English, German or French, searchable full text of recent DE and FR publications is added every week in GPI.

GPI user support

Searchable full text of ES publications is now available in GPI.

To date, PUC = ES and FTXT = * returns around 740.000 ES publications that can be searched using keywords of descriptions and claims in Spanish language.

As for DE, EP, FR, GB and WO publications in English, German or French, searchable full text of recent ES publications is added every week in GPI.

GPI user support

Searchable full text of CH publications is now available in GPI.

To date, PUC = CH and FTXT = * returns around 730.000 CH publications that can be searched using keywords of descriptions and claims in German, French or Italian language.

As for DE, EP, ES, FR, GB and WO publications in English, German or French, searchable full text of recent CH publications is added every week in GPI.
