How does OFC PDF-viewer detect Adobe?

Hello!
Just a quick question: How does the OFC detect which Adobe Acrobat installation to start in the viewer?
We currently install Adobe Actobat 7 Standard on our workstations, but we want OFC PDF-Viewer to use Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.1 to view the PDF's.
We manage to create this effect by, from a clean pc, install Acrobat 7 Standard first, then install Reader 9.
But I was trying to find how the PDF viewer finds the Adobe version, as simply changing the file-extention association in Windows for .PDF, to use Actobat 9, doesnt seem to work. At least it has no effect on the OFC PDF viewer if you try to change it manually.
The underlying reason for wanting to use Acrobat Reader 9, instead of the installed 7 version, is because we have seen Adobe the Acrobat 7 window "vanish" sometimes, when it is being called from the OFC PDF viewer. Perhaps this problem is already well known and soluable?
Thanx a lot!
