Dear OPS Support,
I have a question about how to Obtain the number of claims for a patent on OPS.
For the following patent I have no problems. accumulation tags "<claim-text>" and thus get the correct number.
http://ops.epo.org/3.1/rest-services/pu ... 529/claims
But in other patents such as this, I am not able to get the number of claims. Because OPS returns all claims grouped into a single label "<claim-text>".
http://ops.epo.org/3.1/rest-services/pu ... 133/claims
Is there any way to get the number of claims correctly?,
Thanks in advance.

Dear user,
Unfortunately, we receive full text from different jurisdictions and in different formats and we load it as we get it. I can not offer any workaround for cases such as you 2nd one is.

Yes, there is an easy way to count the claims. Strip the tags from the result string to get just the text of the claims. Then use any text analysis library/API to count the sentences. You may also want to remove any occurences of "1." or "2." in order to avoid confusion or interpretation of these as sentences.
