How to query/append for NAME field in existing query

Post by sriramsmail » Fri Jul 24, 2020 8:25 pm

Hi team.
I am new user of GPI platform but I am already finding it interesting
I am searching for specific technology and would like to know the list of inventors
I know the IPC or CPC classification but do not know who all are the inventors
I want to append the NAME field for all possible inventors
How do I proceed, pl guide

My query text which is used is given here
IPC OR CPC = "D05B 85/00" AND PUD >=20001231

Regards
Sriram K

Dear Sriram,

1) Display the results
2) in the Menu, select Preferences\Result list content
there are two tabs a) Content for display b) Content for download/print
3) select tab a and select Inventor
4) click OK
5) The inventor's names are listed next to the publication numbers in the Result list.

best reagrds,

Dear Sriram,

Please note that IPC OR CPC = "D05B 85/00" will only retrieve documents classified under D05B85/00 and not documents classified under subgroups of the main group D05B85/00.

You may consider using IPC OR CPC = D05B85 to retrieve documents classified under D05B85/00, D05B85/10, D05B85/12, etc.

Step 1: Create a query to select the records to copy. Open the database that contains the records that you want to copy. ...
Step 2: Convert the select query to an append query. ...
Step 3: Choose the destination fields. ...
Step 4: Preview and run the append query.

I'm trying to track it out. While I am familiar with the IPC and CPC categorization systems, I am totally clueless when it comes to the inventors behind each system.
