ID field within bibliographic-data

Post by benoit.m » Thu May 06, 2021 6:58 pm

Hi,

I would like to know what referred the attribute "id" in the "bibliographic-data":

Code: Select all

                        "reg:bibliographic-data": {
                            "@country": "EP",
                            "@id": "EP19760376P",
                            "@lang": "en",
"@status": "Request for examination was made",
                            [...]
If I removed the P character at the end, I obtain the EPO doc-number, but what is that "P" ?
Does this ID changed on each new "version" ?

Thanks,
Benoit

Hi Benoit,

You don't have to work with that ID, in the XML you have proper application number reference you can use instead, see the picture
Capture_register.PNG

The bibliographic-data element can have the following attributes:
Capture_nnn.PNG
Capture_nnn.PNG (5.58 KiB) Viewed 3634 times
UPDATE:
P stands for Patent, according to my register colleagues :-) It can be a residue of application references in another source that was used for legal events and uses P for patent and U for utility model - but as this is Register of the EPO and we don't deal with utility models, so only P will always be present

I don't think that this ID changes, but its specific for only register data so not sure how useful it is. We use RID Applications and Publication ID's in OPS Published services that are unique and stable identifiers used to easily combine datasets from DOCDB, INPADOC, PATSTAT etc, but they are not part of Register. At least not in present versions.

I hope this helps,

Vesna for OPS support
