Dear users,

Please be informed that we have recently added several new useful links for India https://www.epo.org/searching-for-paten ... inks.html .

Highly interesting we have found the website of the Cell for IPR Promotion and Management (CIPAM) http://cipam.gov.in/.

CIPAM website provides the most recent statistics on patents, designs, trade marks and copy rights applications as well as free of charge educational resources available for download. Among the material you can find is the IPR enforcement toolkit for police officers http://cipam.gov.in/toolkit-police/ containing practical check lists for search and seizure procedure, true examples of IPR registration certificates or example of official power of attorney.

The application filing numbers in IP Trends section http://cipam.gov.in/iptrends/ of the CIPAM website are already available for the last Indian fiscal year starting from 01 April and ending 31 March. Even though the official numbers for the fiscal year 2017/2018 will be made available in the annual report of the Indian Patent Office, already now the users can learn from the CIPAM IPR filing statistics that the number of patent applications increased from the previous fiscal year to almost 48 000 applications and that the number of filed designs reached the record high of almost 12 000 design application filed.
