Interpretation of IPCR results

When accessing IPCR of a specific patent through OPS, I find for example such a kind of result

IPCR: G01V 15/ 00 (G01V 15/ 00 A I); G07C 9/ 00 (G07C 9/ 00 A I); H04M 11/ 04 (H04M 11/ 04 A I)

Hence, using this as a practical example, my question is:

a) which is /are the core invention class(es)
b) which is /are the advanced invention class(es)
c) which is /are the core additional class(es)
d) which is /are the advanced additional class (es)

My guess is that these classifications are related to the parenthesis and to the A I annotation.

Thank you and best regards

Hi

On OPS webpage there is a section called Further information where among other things you will also find schema where you will find description of A and I: https://www.epo.org/searching-for-paten ... .html#tab3

As you can see from the WIPO St 8 (http://www.wipo.int/export/sites/www/st ... -08-01.pdf) , position 28 relates to the classification level “the A stands for classification in the full IPC”. Position 30 relates to classification value, “I = invention, N=non invention”

Please consider that, as reported on page 3 of the St. 8, “As of January 1, 2011, the previous designations for classification level indicators C (Core), A (Advance) and S (Subclass) are not applicable.” Instead the notion of “full IPC” or “main groups only” applies.
