Should you use the XML corresponding to the DTDs ep-patent-document (for EP publications) or ep-bulletin (for the EBD product), we inform you that new DTDs version 1.6 are available in the package EP_UP-package-V2 (zip file) on the EPO download area. See the readme file for details on the package content.

Compared with the previous version, these new DTDs are mainly about Unitary Patent information.

XML with Unitary Patent information will appear in EP data products once the Unitary Patent system will be launched.

Please note that a new EP_UP package version 3 is available on the EPO download area.

The two DTDs and the EBD specifications are unchanged – we only changed the EBD XML sample data (XML of EP2671741 and EP0001381 publications).

If you already downloaded the package version 2 and if you want to run tests with the EBD XML sample data, we recommend to download the new package.
