OLF installation with Vista

Post by o10o » Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:39 pm

We have a Problem concerning an EPO V4 installation in a Vista Environment.

The user would like to install a Stand alone application but in the installation procedure only the Client or Server options are allowed
the stand alone option is not accessible and is grayed

The user is logged with a profile including all the admistration user rights

Does somebody know what could be the problem in this installation process?

Dear o10o,

There is no problem here. It actually states in the Installations guide that you cannot carry out a Local
installation (Stand alone) See below. You need to install the server module , followed by the thin client .

Installing the stand-alone version
The Local Installation option is not possible in Windows Vista, see Installing a stand-alone version (local
installation) (p. 32).
If you want to operate Online Filing as a stand-alone version, first install the OLF server and then the thin client
on the same computer. Enter localhost or the IP address of the server under Online Filing Client Settings.
