OLFClient.exe

Post by jvo » Tue Aug 26, 2008 3:51 pm

We are trying to integrate our patent management system with online filing. This is done by launching the executable OLFClient.exe (v. 4, build 4.228) from our PMS. Before this was the executable e3clcm.exe.

Can we receive a list of possible parameters for this executable OLFClient.exe. (like the parameters username, foldername, password).

(We are especially interested in setting the attach property from the user preferences.)

Best regards,

Jan van Overveld

Dear Mr van Overveld,

please be aware that there are two ways of interfacing with the Online Filing System - the v4 PMS Gateway interface using a webservice mechanism to validate, import, sign, send, export, remove or simply retrieve information about the status of forms in the OLF file manager OR alternatively to use command line to import into draft status and initiate the OLF GUI. I have attached the original document concerning the command line parameters (branding of this document is outdated).

At this point in time, we consider the PMS/Gateway and command line interface to be addressing two separate approaches i.e. if you use the webservice for validation and import - any subsequent use of the GUI (hybrid mode) must be initiated directly by the user and the form must be retrieved by the user (a clever use of the directory structure within the OLF File Manager might be helpful here e.g. create a folder that the user will always find new forms imported from PMS). If you use command line for import and initiation of the OLF GUI at the user side this is outside of the PMS/Gateway approach. One can, however, still use the PMS/Gateway to retrieve the status of the forms and export all 'sent' items and remove them subsequently in order to prevent the system from clogging and also ensure that the actually sent items and the receipt is moved back into your PMS or document management system.

I hope this helps.
