OPS for subscribed row data

Post by npinar » Fri Jul 03, 2015 3:47 pm

Hi,

I have a problem when trying to download the paid DOCDB data (in zip format) to our remote server via wget or curl. I tried to use access token key in the header (OPS but probably it does not work for raw files), and also tried to submit cookie file after logged in (https://publication.epo.org/raw-data/au ... n?action=2) with our username and password. Both did not work. I have the below error. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

PS. an example data file link I use to download is something like: "https://publication.epo.org/raw-data/download/....zip".

curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
More details here: http://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html

curl performs SSL certificate verification by default, using a "bundle"
of Certificate Authority (CA) public keys (CA certs). If the default
bundle file isn't adequate, you can specify an alternate file
using the --cacert option.
If this HTTPS server uses a certificate signed by a CA represented in
the bundle, the certificate verification probably failed due to a
problem with the certificate (it might be expired, or the name might
not match the domain name in the URL).
If you'd like to turn off curl's verification of the certificate, use
the -k (or --insecure) option.

Best

Dear user,

The download area for subscription products and OPS are on different platforms.
Please contact us at patentdata@epo.org so that we can check your access credentials and give you further instructions. Thank you.

Kind regards,

Hello,
I am not the original poster, but I am having a similar problem. When I try to log in to the raw data download area (https://publication.epo.org/raw-data/au ... n?action=2) using Firefox (version 39.0) I am receiving an Untrusted Connection warning with the following details:
publication.epo.org uses an invalid security certificate.
The certificate is not trusted because the issuer certificate is unknown.
The server might not be sending the appropriate intermediate certificates.
An additional root certificate may need to be imported.
(Error code: sec_error_unknown_issuer)
Looking more closely at this, it appears that there is an error in the certificate chain when accessing publication.epo.org:

Code: Select all

$ openssl s_client -connect publication.epo.org:443

CONNECTED(00000003)
depth=0 C = DE, ST = Bavaria, L = Munich, O = European Patent Office, CN = publication.epo.org
verify error:num=20:unable to get local issuer certificate
verify return:1
depth=0 C = DE, ST = Bavaria, L = Munich, O = European Patent Office, CN = publication.epo.org
verify error:num=27:certificate not trusted
verify return:1
depth=0 C = DE, ST = Bavaria, L = Munich, O = European Patent Office, CN = publication.epo.org
verify error:num=21:unable to verify the first certificate
verify return:1
---
Certificate chain
 0 s:/C=DE/ST=Bavaria/L=Munich/O=European Patent Office/CN=publication.epo.org
   i:/C=BE/O=GlobalSign nv-sa/CN=GlobalSign Organization Validation CA - SHA256 - G2
 1 s:/C=BE/O=GlobalSign nv-sa/CN=GlobalSign Extended Validation CA - SHA256 - G2

    Verify return code: 21 (unable to verify the first certificate)
The issuer of your certificate is listed as GlobalSign Organization Validation CA - SHA256 - G2, but the intermediate certificate delivered does not match.
Thank you.
