OPS registration and use of Espacenet

Post by vesnav » Tue Mar 03, 2015 1:34 pm

Hi,

We got a message from Espacenet that we should use OPS for our queries. Can registration to OPS get me more data from Espacenet?

Dear user,

You are obviously using Espacent against fair use charter. Either you are doing automated queries of you are linking to a part of information in Espacenet in such way that the system is recognising you as a "robot" or you are doing too many queries so that again Espacenet is mistaking you for automated process.
As fair use charter for Espacenet does not allow any automated queries on Espacenet you are recommend to use OPS instead.

Registration to OPS has nothing to do with use of Espacenet. OPS web service should be used for adding /linking EPO’s raw data, using RESTfull architecture, into/with users own database or search engine. As Espacenet and Register are not available for any kind of automated queries we offered OPS as an alternative for everyone who needs machine-to-machine interaction. OPS is not available for bulk downloading, for that we offer raw data products. For more information, please see fair use charter:
