Dear bulk data/OPS users,

As every year the EPO sites will be closed from Monday, 23 December 2019 to and including Wednesday, 1 January 2020.

Here is some information about services and data that we provide and their schedule during closing period:

Open Patent Services (OPS):

If you plan to register to OPS or need any other assistance, please do so before Friday, 20 December 2019.
During the above-mentioned period we will not be able to reply to your questions nor make changes/validate your Open Patent Services (OPS) account. We will also not be able to reply or moderate the OPS discussion forum.

Open Patent Services (OPS) – paying subscriptions

If you want to request paying OPS subscription for 2020, please contact csc@epo.org asap.
If you did not prolong your OPS paying subscription beyond 2019, you will lose your access above 4 GB in the week 01/2020. You will get automated notification once the paying access is removed. You will still have access to OPS, but only as a free-of-charge user.

Bulk data sets:

Week 52/2019 (23-27.12.2019):
No new files will be available, except 14.1 EP Bibliographic data (EBD) and 14.12 EP full-text data week 52/2019.
Weekly tables on the website will not be updated, but they will be included in the data packages of DOCDB and INPADOC products once delivered.

Week 01/2020 (30.12.2019-03.01.2020):
The missing weekly deliveries of week 52/2019 and the regular deliveries of week 01/2020 will be uploaded on the download area from 2 January 2020 onwards.
Weekly tables on the website will be published only for week 01/2020, we will not publish week 52/2019 retroactively.

Users who have not prolonged their subscription for 2020 or did not download all 2019 files are urged to download their 2019 files before middle of January 2020.
2019 exchange files (exceptions are EBD and 14.12 EP full text data) will be automatically removed after that date, with no possibility to retrieve it or re-deliver it if you miss that deadline.

If you have any questions feel free to contact us at patentdata(at)epo.org
