Hello,
I'm working with two different databases. I have a database containing all patents issued by the Italian Patent Office from 1969 to today. I also have the latest version of PATSTAT.
My goal is to create a new database containing all patents developed by Italian inventors, avoiding to double count the patents that are in both the Italian database and PATSTAT.
Do you have suggestions on how to proceed?
Thanks!

Re: PATSTAT and national databases
Which fields are available in your Italian Patent Office database?

I did a similar exercise
you should work on publication numbers mainly matching them with TLS211, trying different combinations (leading zeroes etc)
good luck!

Hello,
I am also a little bit curious about your Italian data set.
Can you give us some more information on the source, or maybe better, upload a sample data set ?
Many thanks,
