PATSTAT Autumn and Spring release window

Dear all,
I have a question about the PATSTAT release windows. The PATSTAT database updates twice annually, once in spring (sometime around May?) and once in autumn (sometime around November?). However, are more specific release windows known? For example, is the spring edition always updated in the month of May or sometimes before or after? Thanks in advance.

Hello Rogier,
no, we can not pinpoint ourself on a specific date. Each PATSTAT release is a complete new production process starting from scratch. Depending on the outcome of the user acceptance testing, we sometimes have to reprocess or correct data parts of data.
Therefore we keep it deliberately a bit vague when exactly Spring and Autumn releases will be published. The Autumn edition (PATSTAT 2022b) will be published this week and we will announce it via the forum and via e-mail when it is uploaded.
