retrieving patent information from EPO register to update internal database

Dear,
I work for the Italian National Council of Research, a governmental multidisciplinary body dedicated to research.
We have our Patent internal database (and software) which needs to be manually updated by the operators and we are asking if (and how) there is any chance to update our DB automatically through the EPO register.
We think that this could be the only way to maintain our data updated in order to avoid errors and delays on our patent families' details.
Can somebody help me?
