Search Results in OPS

Post by vighneshmadas » Wed Jul 10, 2013 12:06 pm

Hi,
When I search in OPS using RESTful Services with following Search Query,
pn any US8000000

I got results with a US application, which I would expect to be with a US grant (i.e. US8000000) in the results.
Why is this happening? Why am I not getting the US Grant in the results?
Please reply me as soon as possible.

Dear user,

I am not sure why you are using "any" command in a first place. If you were trying to receive all publication steps you could do simple search in Publication Service with a "full-text" constituent:
http://ops.epo.org/3.0/rest-services/pu ... full-cycle

But if you want to use CQL search, do it as follows:
http://ops.epo.org/3.0/rest-services/pu ... 0US8000000

Normally, CQL search in OPS is meant for text searches and not so much for number search.

If you don't use full-cycle constituent, OPS will always deliver only first document added into database, which is not necessary laid open publication, as it is in case of your example. We do have cases where offices would deliver us B documents first and only afterwords we've received A publications and in such cases B publication would be the only one displayed.

Kind regards,.
