Search Results Order

Hi, When I export the search results I find that they are ordered in a certain fashion. some data has first the patent number followed by the (application) publication number while some data has only the granted patent number in the search result. I also noticed that some data has the application publication number followed by the granted patent number. Why is the search result formatted in such fashion?
