Search simple family information with GPI

Post by EPO / EPAL Team » Fri Apr 24, 2020 3:31 pm

The following enhancements are now available:
  • New search criteria, result list columns and document fields for simple family information
  • New search criterion PRDO "Oldest priority date"
  • New parameters in Simple statistics and Cross-reference
  • Renaming of search criteria, removal of national CPC and C-Set search criteria and their corresponding result list columns and document fields (all CPC and C-Set symbols become “international”)
With the new family search criteria it is now possible to focus your searches on families having, for example:
  • a given composition, e.g. families including relevant family members identified by their country codes
  • a given size, e.g. families having more than one family member
  • family members of granted patents
See the revision sheet on page 2 of the new GPI user manual and details with query examples in the relevant sections.

Note: Due to the addition and renaming of result list columns and document fields, if you have already customised your result list and document contents, we recommend that you re-customise them again after a reset (the Reset button is located in the Result list content and Document content popup windows accessible in the menu Preferences).

We detected an issue in the use of PRDO "Oldest priority date" when combined with operators "<" or ">".

We are currently reprocessing GPI data and will inform you once PRDO works as expected.
