SmartCard Problems

Dear all
As we have now several year experience with epoline online filing we see an new problem
coming up to us.
When we use our SmartCard very often we see, that after a while the smart card terminal
is not possible to correct read out the certificate of our SmartCards.
The SmartCards damage due to wear and tear.

The only solution is to change the SmartCard with a new one.
We change more than 4 Cards in the past year.

The most Cards we have are only 3 years old.

We think that it would make sense to change the process for logging in.

this post is useful if you want to trigger a general discussion amongst users but it does not replace any official request to the EPO. The latter needs to be done by official communication to our support.
