Dear OPS team,
since some day (29/06/2016) we experience frequent problems loading the bibligraphic information for several publications, maily JP and CN publications.
Example:
Requesting the publication CN103442312A using the URL
https://ops.epo.org/3.1/rest-services/p ... 2.A/biblio
retruns the HTML error page:
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<title>OPS Error</title>
<link href="/style/common.css" media="all" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"/>
<link href="/images/favicon.ico" rel="favicon"/>
</head>
<body lang="en" class="popup">
<div class="epoContentWrap clearfix">
<div id="pagebody">
<h1>Error</h1>
<h2>org.springframework.oxm.MarshallingFailureException: JiBX marshalling exception; nested exception is org.jibx.runtime.JiBXException: Error writing marshalled document</h2>
<!---->
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
On the ESPACENET Web page there is no problem to show this publication.
As our interface dose not expect HTML response it produces strange error messages to the user. Please inform me if there willl be a chance to fix such a behaviour an the OPS side.
Best regards
Thomas Stiefvater

Re: unexpected HTML error in published-data service
Just for an update - there seem to be a problem with loaded data that obviously contains some unauthorised characters. Out technical team has already requested new data and we hope they will manage to fix this asap.
