Use of search hit information for more effective document content analysis

A newly-added feature enables you to carry out faster and more effective analysis of the result list documents: in the case of searchable description or claims, the number of hits (terms searched) is displayed and a navigation bar shows their location in the text. See the following query:

word = ("epoxy resin" "polyester resin") /5w ("flame retardant" "flame retardancy" "flame-resistant" "fire-resistant" flameproof* "fire-retardant" fireproof*) or (epoxyharz* polyesterharz*) /5w (flammenhemm* flammschutz* flammverzögerung* flammwidrig* feuerfest* feuerbeständig*) or ("résine époxy" "résine polyester") /5w (ignifuge* "pare-flammes" "retardatrice de flamme" "retardateur de combustion”) and (ipc or cpc = C08L63 or C08L67 or cpc = C08L2201) and puc = EP and isg = YES

EP 2432790 B1 is in the search result list and its claims include nine hits that are represented by three markings in the navigation bar on the right-hand side of the text (turquoise markings can be clicked on to jump to their related hits in the English, French and German claims):

In some cases, the amount of hits can be an effective quality indicator of your search, as in the example query below to retrieve documents including, e.g. the terms measure, measurement, laser, diffraction, diffractometry in their claims:

claim = measur* and laser and diffract*

EP 1236249 B1 is in the search result list and its claims include 104 hits:

When browsing the result list and reflecting on the amount of hits in the documents, you may want to consider enhancing your query to retrieve more technically specific results relating to laser diffractometry. An example of enhancement includes the use of proximity operators:

claim = measur* /4w laser /4w diffract*

Your search will return less documents and fewer hits in the descriptions and claims.
