Hello.
I've found some documents, which have /A /B /C at the end of their image download-links. I already looked at the documentation, but I wasn't able to find something about this.
For example for this document: US 4045292 A1
The returned xml contains this data
Code: Select all
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="1" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/US/4045292/X6/fullimage">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
</ops:document-instance>
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="1" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/US/4045292/X6/fullimage/A">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
</ops:document-instance>
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="1" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/US/4045292/X6/fullimage/B">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
</ops:document-instance>
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="1" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/US/4045292/X6/fullimage/C">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
</ops:document-instance>
It seems that all these X-Document images are the same.
So some explanation would be nice.

Thanks for the response.
Does this mean that /A, /B etc. at the end always means that there is some sort of correction?
For example for this WO
Code: Select all
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="2" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/WO/9206003/A1/fullimage/A">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-section name="ABSTRACT" start-page="1"/>
<ops:document-section name="AMENDMENT" start-page="1"/>
<ops:document-section name="BIBLIOGRAPHY" start-page="1"/>
</ops:document-instance>
<ops:document-instance system="ops.epo.org" number-of-pages="34" desc="FullDocument" link="published-data/images/WO/9206003/A1/fullimage">
<ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-format>application/pdf</ops:document-format>
<ops:document-format>application/tiff</ops:document-format>
</ops:document-format-options>
<ops:document-section name="ABSTRACT" start-page="1"/>
<ops:document-section name="BIBLIOGRAPHY" start-page="1"/>
<ops:document-section name="CLAIMS" start-page="18"/>
<ops:document-section name="DESCRIPTION" start-page="3"/>
<ops:document-section name="DRAWINGS" start-page="26"/>
<ops:document-section name="SEARCH_REPORT" start-page="32"/>
</ops:document-instance>
So this means there was a correction for this document?

No, my remark was only for X6 US documents. Otherwise A, B or C or others can be a kind code indication,
