Why don’t you try the JPO’s new PI platform J-PlatPat?

Dear user,

Are you aware that the Japan Patent Office (JPO) has modernised its platform for patent information? The new platform was just launched on 23 March 2015. It is called J-PlatPat (https://www.j-platpat.inpit.go.jp/web/a ... BTmTopPage ), as – that is what the Japanese pronunciation of the name alludes to – you can find easily what you are looking for, just like taking a nice refreshing walk.
“J-PlatPat is cool” tell us our JPO colleagues. What do you think about it?

In any case, the new J-PlatPat provides user friendly interfaces with a new modern “outfit”. You can choose between English or Japanese interface, both of them easy to use and to interpret, whatever language you speak, as most of the information is provided in machine readable format which allows you to cut and paste it in machine translation tools.

For your convenience we also have just uploaded search guides(http://www.epo.org/searching/asian/japan/search.html ) on the EPO’s Asian patent information pages, which explain you step by step how to proceed. So no need to worry about your next Japanese language course.

If you have any additional questions please post them in the forum or contact us directly at asiainfo@epo.org! We are also happy to compile search guides for you tailored for your needs.

Happy searches!
