Hi,
The TOS for OPS raw data products that can be found from this url (http://documents.epo.org/projects/babyl ... ple_en.pdf) contains clause 5.6 "He must not use the data for the rating of natural persons."
Is it possible to provide further clarification of this clause, with an example of what is not allowed if possible?
Thanks.

Re: About Clause 5.6 in Licencing TOS
Hi,
Entire 5.6 clause talks about usage of personal data found in our patent information products and services. Any misuse of personal data of any natural persons found in our databases, either for commercial, marketing, spam or any kind of score statistics of "natural persons" (so, not legal person or entity) is of course not allowed - this clause is closely related to the newly implemented EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), EU law on data protection and privacy for all individuals within the European Union (EU) and the European Economic Area (EEA). It also addresses the export of personal data outside the EU and EEA areas.
I don't feel comfortable listing examples of possible misuse scenarios in a public forum, as you can imagine, so if you need more assistance on this then please contact me via patentdata(at)epo.org
