Hello,
I have a patent index which links directly to historic espacenet patent entries, but the links no longer work for older patents.
For example, I could link to Hayward's 1871 GB patent #2014 "Pavement Lights" with the URL
<http://v3.espacenet.com/textdoc?IDX=GB18712014>
but this no longer works ("not found").
This still works for more recent patents such as Pennycuick's 1897 GB patent #27955 "Improvements in Vault Lights".
What has changed and how do I link to the older patent entries now?
Thank you.

Direct links to older patents no longer working
Dear Espacenet User,
We do not have Hayward's 1871 GB patent #2014 "Pavement Lights" in our database which explains why you cannot retrieve it. A colleague has found a link to the bibliographic data for you here.
Please note that the links you are using are from a very old version of Espacenet. Although redirects are in place, if you are accessing many documents from within a spread sheet you may run into problems.
It is advisable to update you links to the latest version:
https://worldwide.espacenet.com/patent/ ... 189627955A
(the %3D is an = sign as in PN=GB189627955A)
instead of <http://v3.espacenet.com/textdoc?IDX=GB189627955>
We hope this helps you.
